TELL US A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT YOUR CAREER, WHERE DID THE ADVENTURE START? WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO FOLLOW THIS CAREER PATH?
As long as I can remember, I was always interested in the design and fashion world. I have been surrounded by them my whole life. My mother used to be a fashion designer and my father has a passion for art and photography. When I applied for my bachelor, graphic design was the closest major to my interest, since my college did not have fashion design major at that time. I studied graphic design and I became good at it year after year. It was a great opportunity for me to develop my skills, be more creative, and finally call myself a “designer”.
WHAT IS THE BIGGEST HURDLE YOU’VE HAD TO OVERCOME IN YOUR SECTOR?
The biggest hurdle I have had is to learn and create my own style. People should know and feel your art before they know who is the artist behind it. Believing in yourself and your art is the most important hurdle you should overcome as a designer.
WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO FOR SHAKING OFF THE STRESS AFTER A BAD DAY AT THE OFFICE?
I love this question and I will share my secret. Since I work in a fashion retail company, I have a lot of stressful days. Usually, I leave work at work and I do two things. First, I open my car window and scream as loud as I can (artist therapy). Second, I go home and do some online shopping (everygirl's therapy).
CAN YOU GIVE US ANY WORDS OF WISDOM FOR STARTING OUT AND SUCCEEDING IN YOUR SECTOR?
The most important advice for the beginner designers is to love what you are doing. Graphic design is not only related to logos and books. There is a wide range of things you can use your talent in. Try, learn, and search until you find your path. It took me two years to know what domain I want to continue in and I finally found it.
Also, you have to make mistakes to learn from them and never be ashamed. Work hard, enjoy your journey and be proud of your outcome.
COULD YOU TELL US WHAT «INFLUENTE women» MEANS FOR YOU?
to me, she is that woman who wakes up every day with a smile and beautiful attitude. She gives you a positive energy even if you don't know her. She believes in her dreams and goals and she is moving forward to achieve them. She is what I Am aiming to be.
