The revolutionist fashion designer and creative director John Galliano has once again transgressed the rules of the traditional runway format.
When the others took the easy road of including digital guest to their fashion show, this season, "le scandaleux" Galliano, surprised the fashion scene with a new video titled S.W.A.L.K. II, filmed in Tuscany and directed by Nick Knight.
The scenario presents a cataclysmic underwater wedding, mixing tango and a dark love story.
S.W.A.L.K. II is a sequel to the summer film released during Haute Couture season and features Galliano explaining the significance of the various Margiela numbers. He then goes on to detail the tango, his main inspiration for the new collection, which is evoked in a red, white, and grey color palette.
The soundtrack and voice over are so strong that they increase the emotion and reinforces the feelings brought by each movement of fabrics, each line of clothing.
Du GRAND Galliano! He proved one more time that is creativity has no limits!
So far, Maison Margiela offered the best Spring Summer presentation, creating a real "fashion moment".
